By default, Joomla 3.x automatically divests out HTML and iframe elements for security reasons. If you want to put embed videos from YouTube, the following you need to remove iframe keyword from Prohibited Elements following steps: 

1- Editing TinyMCE Settings

  • Login to your Joomla admin, from the top menu, click Extensions a Plugin Manager.
  • Find the plug-in TinyMCE Editor and click on it.
  • At the top of the page, click the Basic Options Tab.
  • Remove ‘iframe’ from Prohibited Elements

Joomla! 3.6.5 - Important Security Release

Joomla! 3.6.4 - Important Security Announcement - Patch Available Soon

Joomla! team has announced the release of an important security release. A Joomla! 3.6.4 release containing a security fix will be published on Tuesday 25th October 2016 at approximately 14:00 UTC.

The Joomla! Security Strike Team (JSST) has been informed of a critical security issue in the Joomla! core. and all previous Joomla! installations should be upgraded to Joomla 3.6.4 when its available.

[Solved] - No installation plugins enabled - Joomla 3.6

Joomla 3.6 seems to introduce an issue with the installation plugins for Joomla. This could certainly be a painful speed breaker for any Joomla webmaster. Following is how you can resolve this issue.

No installation plugin has been enabled. At least one must be enabled to be able to use the installer. Go to the Plugin Manager to enable the plugins.

If you are seeing this error and went to Joomla "Plugin Manager" and see no plugin there then how should you fix it:

  1. First login to your joomla administratior.
  2. Go to "Extensions>>Manage>>Discover"
  3. Select the installation plugins and click install.
  4. Then go back to "Plugin Manager (Extensions>>Plugin)
  5. Enable the installation plugins.
